Why Go Natural CNG Kits

#1 – CTS Module

This is a dash-mounted module with a full-color, 4.3-inch touch screen. This provides real-time monitoring of vital engine information through an interactive display. From the touch screen, the driver can easily switch between running on gasoline and running on CNG. Users can display eight engine data parameters at any one time, including RPM, MPH, fuel temperature, CNG fuel level, water temperature, exhaust gas temperature and more.

The display includes a light sensitivity meter that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to varying ambient light conditions. With the purchase of an optional camera, the included video-in port will also allow the screen to operate as a back-up camera display.

#2 – Wiring Harness

Many CNG conversions require installers to splice 24 or more wires. Whereas Go Natural CNG kits require only one wire to be spliced. The rest of the wiring plugs into the factory wiring harnesses making the system less prone to failure, much easier to install and drastically reduces potential installation problems.

#3 – Fuel Gauge

Go Natural CNG conversion kits include the most accurate and easy to read CNG fuel gauges available. Instead of just monitoring tank pressure, these gauges monitor fuel temperature and tank pressure, then display the temperature compensated pressure, resulting in a much more accurate representation of the amount of fuel in the cylinder(s).
With other systems, the vehicle may fail to start if the gauge indicates the tank is near empty and the temperature drops substantially before the vehicle is needed again. This is because all CNG systems require a minimum pressure and the pressure inside the tank drops with temperature.

#4 – CNG Cylinders “Tanks”

CNG cylinders are available in four types. Type 1 cylinders are the heaviest and least expensive, with Type 4 tanks the lightest and most expensive – Type 2 and Type 3 tanks fall somewhere between. Tanks are available in a large range of sizes and configurations. It is also possible to install multiple tanks within one vehicle. CNG cylinder capacity is measured in gasoline gallon equivalents (GGE). Since natural gas remains a gas when compressed, a GGE of CNG is calculated based on it having the equivalent energy content of a gallon of gasoline. Decisions concerning cylinder choice will depend on various factors, such as available space, weight concerns, budget and desired travel range. #5 – Cylinder Brackets

Go Natural CNG designs and manufactures all tank brackets to maximize the safety and function of each vehicle. For example, the brackets for the Ford F150 short bed utilizes the existing bed mounting locations and raises the tank so that multiple pieces of 4 foot wide plywood can slide underneath.

#6 – Fuel Rails and Fuel Cups

On bi-fuel conversion kits, Go Natural CNG includes Patent-Pending Fuel Rails and Cups. The bi-fuel rails are custom machined for precision and anodized black for durability. Custom dual-injector fuel cups fit into the custom fuel rails. Each cylinder is fitted with two fuel injectors, one for CNG and one for gasoline. However, the system will only allow the appropriate injector to be fired based on the fuel type chosen. These fuel rails do not require the intake manifold to be modified or machined, speeding up installation times and eliminating many other potential problems. This makes it much easier to remove the system if desired.

#7 – High Pressure Hoses

Each hose is constructed with an electrically conductive nylon core that is designed to dissipate static build-up. These hoses also include fiber reinforcement that helps maximize pressure capabilities while remaining flexible. The outside of the hoses are covered with a red polyurethane jacket that provides abrasion resistance and protection from outdoor elements, including ultraviolet light.

The manufacturing process includes the installation of permanent crimp fittings. Before being shipped, each hose assembly is conductivity tested and pressure tested to 10,000 PSI. All of Go Natural’s CNG hose assemblies comply with NFPA 52, ANSI/IAS NGV 4. -1999 and CSA 12.52-M99 certification requirements.

#8 – Pressure Regulator

The regulator reduces the pressure of the CNG from 3,600 psi (stored in the cylinder tank) to 125 psi (for engine use). The unique design of the Go Natural regulator does not require additional coolant lines to be spliced into the engine coolant system. This speeds up installation and eliminates potential engine coolant leaks.

#9 – Fuel Interface Module (FIM)

Go Natural has developed a Patent-Pending Fuel Interface Module (FIM) that reduces potential leak points by more than 60%. The FIM is machined from a block of solid aluminum and combines the coalescing filter, the manual shut off valve and the electronic transducer/gauge into one unit. Combined with Go Natural high pressure CNG hoses, the FIM can reduce vehicle conversion time by up to 6 hours.
