Cylinder Components

CNG Cylinder:

CNG cylinders can be made of steel, aluminum, or plastic. Lightweight composite (fiber-wrapped thin metal / fibre-wrapped plastic ) cylinders are especially beneficial for vehicular use because they offer significant weight reductions when compared with earlier generation steel and aluminum cylinders, which leads to lower fuel consumption. Cylinder pricing can very depending on the size of the cylinder.

Go Natural CNG carries a large selection of fuel cylinders ranging in cost from $1,500 to $5,000 for new, and $250 to $2,000 for used cylinders.

Cylinder Brackets:
Manufactures demand specific brackets used on there cylinders regardless of its age. Even if your installing a used cylinder you must use specific brackets made for that brand cylinder. Cylinders will expand and contract as they are filled and or a change in ambient tempter. The brackets must allow for this thermodynamics or damage can occur. If the wrong brackets are used on a cylinder stress cracks will form in the side wall casing savior structural damage.

Go Natural CNG carries a large selection of cylinders brakets ranging in cost from $80.00 to $250.

Cylinder Valves:
A cylinder valve is a device that regulates the flow of gas by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. In an open valve, gas flows in a direction from higher pressure to lower pressure.
  • Manual valve: Many valves are controlled manually with a handle attached to the stem. If the handle is turned it will open or close the valve depending on detraction.
  • Electromechanical: Electromechanical valves use electronic signal to activate electric motor or solenoid to open valve. With not electrical signal the valve will stay closed.
