Management Team


The Go Natural CNG Management Team consists of a team of experienced professionals who possess skills in the design, manufacture, and marketing of technologically advanced automotive solutions.

Timothy R. Hunt

 Tim is currently the President of Go Natural CNG in alternative fuel vehicles focusing on natural gas.  He was most recently the general manager of North America for Certiport who is the sole provider of Microsoft Office and Adobe certification exams worldwide.

Tim was the founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Lingotek, a software development company with a new technology called the Language Search Engine. Lingotek raised $3 million plus from Flywheel Ventures, Canopy Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and other angel investors.  In 2008, Tim sold his holdings in Lingotek for a modest positive return. 

Tim received his MBA from the University of Utah, where he was also awarded the 2002 Utah Outstanding Student Entrepreneur of the Year.  While getting his MBA he won both statewide and international business plan competitions netting $65,000 in cash.  He was recognized by his peers and named to the vSpring v|100 Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs in 2007 and 2008.

Tim worked as an adjunct professor for the University of Utah, Weber State and Salt Lake Community College.  He has taught Venture Finance, Corporate Finance, Investments, Microeconomics, Business Law, Algebra, and Statistics.

He helped found the University Venture Fund which now manages $18 million in investments and holdings.  He serves on the board of the Utah Valley Entrepreneur Forum and the Governor’s Business Resource Center Board where he serves as vice chair.  He has been the co-chair of the UTC CEO peer-to-peer forums and is a Utah Technology Council Trustee and is on the board of the Utah Technology Council as a trustee.  He has recently been asked to head up the Clean Tech/Energy sector of the Utah Technology Council with Todd Stevens, Managing Partner of Epic Ventures.

He is a former tactical intelligence officer for the U.S. Army.  He developed a new Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) for the U.S. Army called the 97L Translator/Interpreter. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, Weber State and Salt Lake Community College where he taught venture finance, mathematics and entrepreneurship courses. 

Prior to that he supervised scripture translation for the LDS Church where he supervised the translation of 85 of the 100+ languages in which the Church has produced scriptures.

 Rick Oliver - VP of Compression techonology

Designed, developed, manufactured and coordinated numerous major projects, products and systems. Expertise includes Electro-Hydraulic Controlled Systems Application & Design, Motion Control Concepts, System Integration, Product Development & Design, and System Design. Developed and presented innovative technical and product training courses with resulting revenues in excess of $50 million. Developed and implemented successful sales and marketing programs for numerous companies, including Fortune 500 companies, increasing revenue by more than 200% within 2 years.

Matt Matsukawa - VP of Conversion Technology

Over 17 years of experience in designing and building natural gas and propane powered vehicles. Established conversion and service shops dedicated to natural gas and trained personnel to run the business. Consulted manufacturers of alternative fuel systems that currently sell products nationally and internationally. Current and previous clients include Hill Air Force Base, Engine Control Technologies, Thiokol Aerospace, and Baytech.

 Jack Falkenrath - Product Development Manager 
 
Jack has spent the majority of his career in the automotive-parts-distribution business. He was one of five founding owners of Techniphase Industries, Inc. and served as President from 1984 until 2001. From an initial $4,000.00 investment, he was able to turn this start-up into a multi-million dollar business. In 2001, Techniphase merged with No. 1 International, where Jack served as Senior Vice President and CTO until late 2008. No. 1 supplied engines, engine kits and engine components to many national companies, including Napa, CarQuest, CSK, Year One, AutoZone and Amazon.   
 
During his time in the automotive business, Jack has had leadership responsibilities for a variety of professional disciplines, including importation, exportation, staffing, advertising, marketing, graphics, private-label branding, catalogs, purchasing (inventory, print, packaging and media), product design, warranty analysis, website design, trade shows, editorial, press releases, television shows, shipping, warehouse management, inventory control, pricing, etc. He is also a trusted contributor of technical-automotive-editorial content to many consumer and trade magazines.
 
As part of his company's participation on TV programs such as NASCAR Angels and Overhaulin’, Jack donated engines to many deserving individuals. The company also supported many charitable causes including the Progeria Research Foundation and Camp Reynal. This camp is associated with the National Kidney Foundation and is one of the few camps in the U.S. that provides on-site dialysis.
 
Jack has also created many innovations and inventions. One of the most significant was a patented-piston design called Swirl/Quench. This technology increases I/C engine horsepower and torque while decreasing fuel consumption. The design has been licensed to the two largest manufacturers of forged-racing pistons in the United States.
 
Jack has modified, raced and restored cars as a hobby. He has been rewarded with magazine and calendar coverage, plaques, trophies, prizes, checks and friendships. He is also a sought after national car show judge and a graduate of the Bondurant Gran Prix Road Racing School in Phoenix, Arizona.
